Turf Medic is an artificial turf cleaning specialist serving The Lakes and the surrounding west Las Vegas corridor. We deep clean, sanitize, and restore turf in both the lakefront homes and the interior streets, with specific protocols for lake adjacent drainage, shade zone moisture, and the mature first generation installations that define this established community.
Local Factors
Why The Lakes turf needs professional cleaning
The Lakes began development in 1981 as one of Las Vegas's first master planned communities. The lake sits at the center, surrounded by single-family homes, townhomes, and condos. The community includes roughly 3,000 homes across a 1,300-acre footprint. Three things about The Lakes specifically make professional turf cleaning necessary.
First, the lake creates a microclimate. Lakefront and lake adjacent turf experiences higher ambient humidity than typical Las Vegas yards. Higher humidity means slower turf drying after irrigation or rain, which means more moisture retention in the infill, which means better conditions for bacterial growth and mold. Standard valley floor cleaning cycles do not fully anticipate this. We adjust for it.
Second, turf age. The Lakes is one of the older master planned communities in the valley. Many homes here have been on their current turf for over a decade. Older turf uses older infill. Older infill holds pet urine residue in ways that current coated-sand systems do not. A deep extraction plus current spec replacement typically addresses both the smell and the matting in a single visit.
Third, mature landscaping. Forty-plus year old trees cover a lot of The Lakes yards. Shade zones on turf retain moisture longer and encourage mold, algae, and organic debris accumulation. Shade zone turf needs a different approach than open yard turf. We sanitize these areas more aggressively.

What We See
Common turf issues in The Lakes homes
Lakefront moisture and drainage.
The single most distinctive problem we see at The Lakes. Lakefront and lake adjacent turf retains moisture longer than open desert yards. Combined with mature tree shade, the infill layer can stay damp long enough to encourage mold, algae, and bacterial growth. Our sanitization step specifically addresses this.
First generation turf installations at end of useful life.
A lot of The Lakes turf went in during the first wave of synthetic grass popularity in Las Vegas. Mid-2000s through mid-2010s. Installations at 10 to 20 years old need more than surface cleaning. A deep extraction plus fresh infill typically restores the turf completely.
Shade zone turf under mature trees.
The Lakes has more mature trees than almost any other community in the valley. Shaded turf needs a different approach: more aggressive sanitization, more careful moisture management, and attention to the organic debris that accumulates under tree canopies.
Townhome and condo patio turf.
Enclosed patios with smaller turf footprints foul faster than open single-family lots due to restricted airflow. We scale our equipment to the footprint and service townhome and condo turf with the same full system process.

Ownership
Meet the Owner
Turf Medic was founded in 2026 by Beau, a Las Vegas resident since 2018. Before founding Turf Medic, Beau built and sold a Las Vegas pool cleaning company and currently manages a residential real estate portfolio, meaning he understands service-business standards, HOA interactions, and what homeowners actually want out of a recurring outdoor service. The origin story is simple: Beau has dogs, his own yard smelled, nothing he tried worked, so he learned how to clean turf properly. Once neighbors started asking him to do their yards, Turf Medic was a business.
Every Turf Medic job runs on equipment built specifically for artificial turf, no improvised carpet cleaners, no homeowner-grade gear off a hardware-store shelf. The professional hydrogen peroxide cleaning system is EPA-registered, contains no chlorine, no ammonia, no harsh solvents, and decomposes into water and oxygen with nothing left on the turf when we leave. Beau was formally trained in Phoenix, Arizona by Renew Turf, one of the Southwest's established turf specialists.
